Daniel Gawthrop reads at “Word on the Street” festival

VANCOUVER — Daniel Gawthrop joined fellow authors Charles Demers and Derrick O’Keefe “under the tent” at this year’s Word on the Street book and magazine festival at Library Square on September 25, 2011.

Readings by the three authors, presented by CUPE 391  (Vancouver, Gibsons and Sunshine Coast library workers), took place at the CUPE 391 tent on the festival site at Library Square, the  Vancouver Public Library’s Main branch. Daniel read excerpts from his work in progress, a personal and political critique of Pope Benedict XVI and the Roman Catholic Church.
